Milena Petrovska, born on 22.9.1953 in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia.

Professor of Microbiology and Parasitology, PhD, MD, Specialist of Microbiology and Parasitology; Currently working at the University Ss Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Microbiology and Parasitology. Member of the Committee for communicable disease of RNM (2002-), National Focal Point observer in ECDC Forum (2013-), delegate in UEMS-SMM (2008-), Head of the Institute of MP, FM, UCIM, Skopje (2002 to 2016), and the Department of MP, FM, UCIM, Skopje (1996-2005), President of Macedonian Microbiological Society (2003-2012,1986-1990), and Balkan Society of Microbiology (2009-13); invited professor and lecturer at the other Universities and scientific meetings / Congresses.  Special interest: uro-genital infections and respiratory tract infections, molecular typing.
